Summer STEM Camps

Summer 2025

Welcome to Summer at the Challenger Learning Center!

We have an exciting line-up of learning adventures prepared for Summer 2025.

  • Scroll through all camp options below, or download the complete listing
  • Please note that when choosing a camp, children should be scheduled for the grade level they will enter in the fall of 2025
  • Programs will run with sufficient enrollment (minimum of 10 participants / maximum of 24)

Introduction to Space

Designed with our youngest astronauts in mind, this course will blast off their interest in space. Using hands-on activities students will explore the basics of our solar system, rockets, and space program while using basic coding, geology digs and more.

  • June 2-4
  • 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
  • Grades 1-2
  • $60

Career Connections

For our older students, join us to learn from industry professionals in STEM fields! Hear from different experts in engineering, biological research, aeronautics, chemical manufacturing, and the like about the steps they took from high school to where they are now in their careers. Students will also be able to receive advice on networking, resume building, applications, and potentially have the opportunity to volunteer with Challenger Center later in the summer for job experience (and potential references!)

  • June 2-5
  • 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Grades 9-12
  • $80

Junior Space Explorers

Students will investigate planets, moons, stars, constellations, and more as they become Junior Space Explorers! Campers will participate in hands-on space activities using augmented reality, designing a space habitat, and much more in this exciting adventure!

  • June 9-11
  • 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Grades 3-4
  • $100

Animal Adaptations

We will be outside for all of  this camp.
Students should wear sunscreen and clothes that can get dirty. Campers
will explore animal adaptations and how it helps them survive in the wild.

  • June 12-13
  • 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
  • Grades 3-5
  • $60

Robot Rendezvous

From nanobots to rovers, robots are changing our world. Participants will discover the importance of teamwork and innovation as they complete robotic design challenges. If you have always wanted to build robots and explore different robotic systems - this is the camp for you!

  • June 16-20
  • 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Grades 4-5
  • $160

Astronaut Training

What will it take to live in space? Participants will train to become astronauts in preparation for their simulated space missions to the Moon, Mars, the ISS, and beyond! Training includes astronomy, robotics, experiments, programming, and more. Join us this summer to experience NASA based simulations, new creations, and tons of inspiration!

  • June 23-27
  • 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Grades 4-6
  • $160

CSI Spy

Brush up on your forensic skills! Learn all about how to collect and analyze evidence: lift fingerprints, uncover secret messages, discover suspects, and more! Help solve a crime, and then you get to decide: do you use your new skills to become a detective, or a super spy?

  • June 30 - July 3
  • 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Grades 4-6
  • $130

Earth Odyssey

In this simulated space mission students will collaborate to program robotic arms, capture cargo crafts, monitor astronaut vitals during spacewalks, and analyze data from Earth-monitoring satellites. The sensors will track Earth processes and events. Effective communication among crew members is vital for responding to emergencies. This mission's data will aid scientists in understanding and predicting changes on Earth, helping protect people and the environment.

  • July 9
  • 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
  • Grades 9-12
  • $30

Lunar Quest

Young learners are in charge of a simulated flight to the Moon. Students are transformed into astronauts, scientists, and engineers with a single common purpose - the success of the mission. Teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and decision making skills are put to the test.

  • July 8
  • 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
  • Grades 6-9
  • $30

Operation Comet

Students are in charge of a simulated flight to the International Space station to learn more about a comet passing through our solar system. Campers take on the roles of astronauts, scientists, and engineers as they learn.

  • July 15
  • 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
  • Grades 4-5
  • $30

Expedition Mars

Students are in charge of a simulated flight between Mars and Phobos, and are transformed into astronauts, scientists, and engineers with a single common purpose - the success of the mission. Teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and decision making skills are put to the test.
